The Collect
Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

October 30 - Staying connected to the light while walking through the dark
As we move towards shorter days, colder weather, political uncertainty, and Covid-19 driven physical distancing, finding a way to connect, encourage one another, and maintain a sense of hope and possibilities feels more important than ever. A small group of us at St. Paul's has been working on a creative way to do this safely in person and soon, before the weather gets bad.
Due to travel restrictions between Vermont and New Hampshire, and since we cannot gather indoors, we are planning two outdoor gatherings, one at St. Paul’s, and the other at Jeff and Jill’s home in Lebanon. Both to be held on Friday, October 30th, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, weather permitting.
(Jeff Wilcox and Jill Fisher, 30 Hough Street, Lebanon, NH 03766)
The gatherings will be focused around a fire, with the theme of sharing together what helps us to stay in touch with faith, hope, and the light within. We invite you to bring a poem, a quote, a scripture reading, a thought, or experience to share on that theme. Also, you are invited to write what weighs you down or gets in the way of your own connection to God, hope, light, and a sense of possibilities when times get tough. We will have an opportunity to add these notes to the fire to lift them up.
With a mix of silence, sharing reflections, and burning our obstacles, our hope is that this time of togetherness will be heartening, and provide a memory that we can draw on in the trying times ahead.
Come if you feel well and dress warmly,
Wear a mask and bring a chair, if desired,
Bring a reflection to share,
Write on a card something you would like to let go of,
Or just come and be together!

Zoom Worship Manager Training November 10
As more churches make a practice of hosting worship on the Zoom platform, a new liturgical role focusing on managing the technical aspects of Zoom has emerged. Sometimes referred to as "worship manager," "worship producer," "worship technician" or "digital deacon," this person manages aspects of online worship including managing participants, monitoring chat and coordinating screen sharing of pre-recorded music or other pre-recorded liturgical elements. The Zoom worship manager allows worship leaders to focus on their roles, knowing the technical aspects of the gathering are running smoothly.
Join Kathleen Moore of Canticle Communications for a Zoom worship manager training on Tuesday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. This training is open to those of all experience levels and will be recorded for those who cannot make it at that time.
Join the Zoom meeting using this link and the password ZoomChurch.
