The Fourth Sunday after Pentecost – June 12, 2016
Keep, O Lord, your household the Church in your steadfast faith and love, that through your grace we may proclaim your truth with boldness, and minister your justice with compassion; for the sake of our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. (1979 Book of Common Prayer, Collect for Proper 6.)

United Thank Offering (UTO) Ingathering – June 12 - We have selected June 12th as this year's UTO Ingathering Sunday. I realize it is short notice. Even so there is still time to start acknowledging special moments for good things that have happened by putting a coin aside to honor it. Thank you Janie Davis.
The Concerned about Racial Justice group is thinking about summer fun and continuing the Lenten conversation. Would you be interested in participating in a small group book study? Would you like to host one? Could be in the evening with cold drinks, possibly beginning with a potluck? If so, let Scott know at the church office or send an email to katy.chaffee@gmail.com. The group is currently previewing some possible book selections and would provide some discussion questions. Glad to talk with you further if you are interested.

Another Silent Auction Item - The item is a film entitled "Let there be Light", a film by Peter Swanson featuring the stained glass of the Washington National Cathedral. It is" ...narrated by Garrison Keillor and follows the grand master of stained glass, Rown LeCompte who, at 84, is working on his last window for the Cathedral. Rowan produced his first window for the building when he was 16. It is the story of the human struggle to create and the monumental, stunningly beautiful results that are possible when we apply ourselves to that struggle. In it's essence, this is a creation story, or rather a story of creation. In documenting the struggle to make a great work of art, the film inspires the creative spirit in all of us..." It is valued at $30.00. If you would like to purchase it, please contact Harry and Jean Kendrick
