Vestry Nominations – It is that time again. If you would like to nominate someone to serve a three-year term on the vestry, please ask that person if they would like to join the vestry and then fill out the Vestry Nomination Form that will be available in Sunday’s service leaflet. Please note you may also nominate yourself.
Trinity Institute, 2016: Listen for a Change: Sacred Conversations for Racial Justice - From January 21-23, 2016, St. James, Woodstock, VT (on the Green) will stream Trinity Institute 2016, as a leading group of activists, scholars, authors, artists and experts on racial inequality come together to hold life-giving conversations on the racial issues of our time, including structural racism, mass incarceration, and policy change. The live conference will be held at Trinity Church, New York, NY; St. James will offer all aspects of the conference either in real time, via webcast, or via video at a later time. Onsite reflection groups are coordinated using materials prepared and provided by Trinity Institute.

2016 Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Faith Celebration - Please join the Dartmouth Community for the 2016 Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Faith Celebration on Sunday, January 17th, at 3pm in Rollins Chapel. Our speaker is Rev. Leah Daughtry, pastor of the House of the Lord Church in Washington, DC and CEO of the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Her sermon is entitled, "Into the Breach.” The service will also include offerings from the Dartmouth Gospel Choir and the World Music Percussion Ensemble. A reception will immediately follow the service at the nearby Church of Christ at Dartmouth College.
The Warming Shelter at The Haven is open. If you are interested in being part of a Sunday Lunch ministry, simple hot meal of either soup or casserole with bread in our parish hall please contact Jon Chaffee or Diana Collins. Following the meal we would assist our guests to other warm locations in the area.
United Valley Interfaith Project
Would you like to be a Five Minute Friend? Do you wish to learn more about Car Title Lending and the negative impact this has on our economic structure and our community? Are you a senior and you wish to share your story with others? If you are interested in learning more about the United Valley Interfaith Project (UVIP), there is now an internal UVIP Team at St. Paul's Church. The newly formed St. Paul's UVIP Team consists of Sally McFarlin, Eva Moss and Diane Root. We plan to work closely with our church community on various campaign issues, informing you of upcoming events and provide material relevant to these campaigns. Please check the United Valley Interfaith Project Bulletin Board, located in the hallway. Sally, Eva and Diane are available to chat with you any time concerning these issues or any other issue that is important to you. Look forward to sharing, listening and above all caring. Shawl Outreach Ministry - We have been given a large supply of yarn toward our Shawl Outreach Ministry. If you or a friend or neighbor would like to make mini shawls, regular shawls, or scarfs, we will provide the yarn and directions. More shawls are needed as are more people who can knit or crochet. If you want more information or have questions, please contact Holly.
Caring Ministry Meeting - our next meeting January 17th, 11:45 after Sunday’s service in church chapel. If you are not able to attend, please let Fr. Scott know.
Brookside Nursing Home Service - Our next service is January 10th. Volunteers meet at Brookside at 1:45 and service is 2-2:30.
Knit and Purl Fellowship - will meet next January 18th, 6:30 at the Parish House. There are still many skeins of yarns donated by White River Yarn Store toward our Shawl Ministry. If you or if you someone who would like to make shawls, please contact Holly Hall.
Listen Community Center Dinners - January 18th is Martin Luther Holiday and the Listen Center will be closed. March 21st, will be the next date we will serve a meal for 100 people. St. Paul's Cook team, Holly and Ev, will be organizing and serving the meal. The remaining LCD dates are: May 16th, July 18th, September 19th and last one for 2016 is November 21st.

Discretionary Fund Reminder – First Sunday of every month. Please be as generous as possible.
Laying on of Hands – On the first Sunday of every month those wishing to receive laying on our hands are invited to gather at the Baptismal Font (just as you entered the church) immediately after you have received communion.
Leadership Team Meeting – every Wednesday 9:30-11:30am
Worship Team meets – 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Church Library at 4pm, all are welcome to attend.
Vestry meets - third Tuesday of the month in the Parish House at 6:30pm. All are welcome to attend.
Brookside Nursing Home Church Services – Brookside services are second Sunday of the month September- July. Our next services are January 10th and February 14th. For more information, please contact Holly.
Knit and Purl Fellowship – first and third Mondays of the month at the Parish House, 6:30pm. In January, we will meet January 4th and 18th.
St. Paul's Fun Google Group – Join our group that we use to invite parishioners to come together for a fun activity. If there's a movie that you'd like to see, a hike you'd like to go on, or any kind of fun event you would like company to, this is the place to put out the word. These activities build our connection with one another and strengthen our community! Email Jill Fischer at jill@positivecouples.com to be added to this list.
